Accessible PDF documents using Adobe InDesign

Are you confused about how to make an accessible PDF? This training will show you how to turn Adobe InDesign documents into PDFs everyone can use.


During this practical training, we will show you every step needed to turn an Adobe InDesign document into an accessible PDF.

This training's introduction focuses on the importance of digital accessibility for disabled users and the assistive technologies they use. Afterwards, participants will learn:

  • How to make an accessible InDesign document.
  • How to convert said document to a tagged PDF.
  • How to test the accessibility of a PDF.
  • How to improve the accessibility of a pre-existing PDF with Acrobat Professional.

Target audience

This training is intended for graphic designers or others who want to use Adobe InDesign to make accessible PDFs.

Necessary prior knowledge

You know your way around Adobe InDesign, and you have an Adobe Creative Cloud subscription.

Practical information

  • Time: 2 modules or 3 modules.
  • Location: online via zoom, in company or in the training room of our offices (groups up to 12 participants).
  • Optional: bring a laptop with Adobe InDesign and Acrobat Professional to take part in our exercises.

Formats and prices

Basic session:

  • 2 modules
  • All participants will use one common document
  • We offer this training to both groups and individuals:
    • 1200 EUR Excl. VAT for groups of maximum 12 people.
    • 240 EUR Excl. VAT per person (only applicable to individual enrolments)

In-depth session:

  • 3 modules
  • Participants will work on individual documents of their own choosing
  • We offer this training to both groups and individuals:
    • 1800 EUR Excl. VAT for groups of maximum 12 people.
    • 360 EUR Excl. VAT per person (only applicable to individual enrolments)
